Morley's Grey Coaches, West Row

Jan 1983 - Mildenhall Sharks Swimming Club ran former Morley's Grey Coaches PDX 16 for a few years to take their teams to events etc. Plaxton Embassy bodied Bedford SB5 new to P&M of Ipswich in June 1962. It was parked in the main town car park in Mildenhall, the Swimming Pool building stands behind.

October 1979 - Morley's Grey Coaches XOR 325, a Duple Super Vega bodied Bedford SB1 new in June 1960 to Hearn of Edgware, London.

October 1983 - Morley's Grey Coaches 820 NEA and XGS 733S parked at their West Row garage. 820 NEA was a Duple Bella Vega bodied Bedford SB5 new in March 1964 to Hill of West Bromwich. XGS 733S was a Plaxton Supreme bodied Leyland Leopard new in March 1978 to Frames Tours of London.

Sunday 30 September 1979 – A line up of Morley's Grey Bedford coaches parked at the West Row garage. The coaches second and fifth from the right are Plaxton bodied whereas all the others are Duple bodied.

January 1983 - Morley's Grey Coaches 820 NEA and WCF 539K parked at their West Row garage. 820 NEA was a Duple Bella Vega bodied Bedford SB5 new in March 1964 to Hill of West Bromwich. WCF 539K was a Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRQ new in February 1972 to Morley’s. Note the destination display. Morley’s did a lot of work connected with the United States Air Force at the neighbouring bases at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath.

January 1983 - Morley’s Grey Coaches of West Row, near Mildenhall JTD 615K , a Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRQ that had been new to an operator in St. Annes-on-Sea, Lancashire in 1972. After being operated by Morley’s it was sold to Malta becoming FBY 717.

Saturday 3 August 1985 – Morley’s Grey Coaches of West Row JRM 76L, a Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRT, seen at King Street, Mildenhall. It had been acquired from Heyfordian although had been new to Noel Hamilton of Workington, Cumberland in 1973.

Saturday 3 August 1985 – Morley’s Grey Coaches of West Row JRM 76L, a Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRT, which had been acquired from Heyfordian although had been new to Noel Hamilton of Workington, Cumberland in 1973. It was seen heading down St. Andrew’s Street, Mildenhall. The buildings on the right are recognisable today although the Wilko (originally Budgen’s) store occupies the site on the left.

June 1983 – Two Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRTs operated by Morley’s Grey Coaches of West Row seen outside the then Great Heath School in St. John’s Close, Mildenhall. OOD 381M was new to Trathen's of Yelverton but came to Morley’s from Heyfordian Coaches.

Saturday 30 July 1983 - Morley’s Grey Coaches of West Row, near Mildenhall UNK 495M seen in Pancras Road, London having brought us from Mildenhall on the express service operated by the company for many years. A Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRT new in April 1974 (to Capital or Destination Travel).

Sunday 30 September 1979 – Morley's Grey Coaches RGV 466N, a Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bedford YRT new to Morley’s in July 1974, parked at the West Row garage.

Sunday 30 September 1979 – Two Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied vehicles of Morley's Grey Coaches vehicles parked at the West Row garage. KPV 821P was a Bedford YRY that had been new to Partridge Coaches (Claireaux) of Hadleigh. NCF 794G was a bodied Bedford VAL new in January 1969.

Sunday 24 Mar 1985 - Morley’s Grey Coaches SCX 227P, a Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT that had been new to Dewhurst Coaches of Bradford in June 1976, seen on the old A11 near Bell Lane, Barton Mills.

January 1983 - Morley’s Grey Coaches of West Row, near Mildenhall Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT LHW 508P seen at the garage in West Row. It had been new to National Travel (South West) in July 1976.

Sunday 29 May 1983 - Morley's Grey Coaches vehicles parked near the USAF air base at RAF Mildenhall between shuttle duties for the Air Fete. Heading the line up is LHW 508P, a Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT LHW 508P that had been new to National Travel (South West) (508) in July 1976.

January 1984 - Morley's Grey Coaches XGS 733S and LHW 508P parked at their West Row garage. XGS 733S was a Plaxton Supreme bodied Leyland Leopard new in March 1978 to Frames Tours of London. LHW 508P, a Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT LHW 508P that had been new to National Travel (South West) (508) in July 1976.

Tuesday 19 March 1985 – Morley’s Grey Coaches LHW 508P seen on the old A11 near Bell Lane, Barton Mills at 0700. It was a Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT that had been new to National Travel (South West) in July 1976.

Sunday 28 April 1985 – Morley’s Grey Coaches PMA 483P seen as it was leaving Fiveways roundabout on the A11 at Barton Mills. It was a Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT that had been new to Niddrie’s Coaches of Middlewich, Cheshire in April 1976.
