Monday 14 September 1992 - In 1984 Metro Transit broke from the tradition of purchasing the GM Classic by acquiring 12 Scania CN112A buses (201-212). Both types are seen here at Downsview Mall. Scania 205, carrying all over advertising for Yellow Pages, had been brought as a replacement for failed Classic 942.

Monday 14 September 1992 - In 1984 Metro Transit broke from the tradition of purchasing the GM Classic by acquiring 12 Scania CN112A buses (201-212). 205, seen here at Cobequid Terminal, was a replacement bus for failed Classic 942 which should have worked the 1320 service 84 from Downsview Mall to Cobequid. Metro Transit established a number of 'Terminals' around its operating network to provide interchange facilities between different services. All over advertising for Yellow Pages is carried.

Saturday 12 September 1992 - Metro Transit operated some articulated Classics in addition to the more common rigid models. 705 was one of the first batch delivered in 1992 which was seen in Barrington Street, Halifax on service 1. Metro Transit had what I believe was an unofficial arrangement with the licensing office in that the licence plates issued to the buses would contain and match the fleet number.

Monday 14 September 1992 - Two GMC T6H buses at Downsview Mall, Sackville, Nova Scotia. Leading is Metro Transit 867 new 1982. Behind is former Metro Transit 824 (new to Halifax Transit Corporation in 1975) now operated by Beaverbank Transit, a community based bus operation with just a handful of buses that provided service from the Beaverbank district to Sackville where it met the buses of Metro Transit, the main Halifax based city network. It was sold to Beaverbank for a nominal cost of just one Canadian Dollar.

Monday 14 September 1992 - Beaverbank Transit was a community based bus operation with just a handful of buses providing a service from the Beaverbank district to Sackville where it met the buses of Metro Transit, the Halifax based city network. A GMC T6H5307 which was new to Halifax Transit Corporation in 1975 - HTC was the main constituent when Metro Transit was created and this bus became number 824. It was sold to Beaverbank for a nominal cost of just one Canadian Dollar. Seen at Downsview Mall in the company of Metro Transit 205, a Scania CN112A in Yellow Pages advertising livery.
