Wednesday 6 July 2016 (1203) – Following the closure of long established National Express contractor Chenery of Dickleburgh in June 2016, Whippet Coaches assumed operation of some of their former workings. Whippet NX09 (BK15 AHX), a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in March 2015, was seen in Mildenhall when working the 1035 service 490 from Norwich (UEA) to London (Victoria).

Wednesday 6 July 2016 (1203) – Following the closure of long established National Express contractor Chenery of Dickleburgh in June 2016, Whippet Coaches assumed operation of some of their former workings. Whippet NX09 (BK15 AHX) was seen in Mildenhall when working the 1035 service 490 from Norwich (UEA) to London (Victoria). It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in March 2015. In the background is Stephensons of Essex 435 (LX51 FGE) working the 1205 service 17 to Red Lodge via Freckenham. It is an Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart new in September 2001 to Stagecoach Selkent (London) as their SLD305.

Wednesday 6 July 2016 (1205) – Mildenhall bus station: Whippet Coaches NX09 (BK15 AHX) continues on its way when working the 1035 National Express service 490 from Norwich (UEA) to London (Victoria). Monday 5 June 2017 (1450) – Whippet Coaches NX09 (BX15 AHX), a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in March 2015, seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills when working the 1200 National Express service 490 from London (Victoria) to Norwich. It was running about 35 minutes late.

Tuesday 14 November 2017 (1205) – Whippet Coaches NX09 (BX15 AHX) seen in Mildenhall when working National Express service 490 to London (Victoria) (ex Norwich 1050 origin point unknown timed at Mildenhall at 1205). It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in March 2015.

Tuesday 14 November 2017 (1204) – Whippet Coaches NX09 (BX15 AHX) seen in Mildenhall when working National Express service 490 to London (Victoria) (ex Norwich 1050 origin point unknown timed at Mildenhall at 1205). It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K340 new in March 2015.

Thursday 8 March 2018 (1224) – Whippet Coaches NX12 (BK15 AKF), a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in July 2015, seen edging its way out of Mildenhall bus station when working the 1045 National Express service 727 from Norwich (UEA) to Gatwick Airport. Service 727 had its origins as a ‘Jetlink’ branded service which later saw operation under the ‘National Express Airport’ brand. It was worked by National Express Operations Limited for a number of years (covered from garages near Heathrow and Stansted Airports as well as from an outstation at Norwich). In January 2018 Whippet took over as the contractor for this service (and for some of the London services from Norfolk and Suffolk) working from an outstation near Diss/Eye in Suffolk.

Service 727 had its origins as a ‘Jetlink’ branded service which later saw operation under the ‘National Express Airport’ brand. It was worked by National Express Operations Limited for a number of years (covered from garages near Heathrow and Stansted Airports as well as from an outstation at Norwich). Friday 10 March 2017 (1127) – Emmanuel Street, Cambridge: Whippet Coaches NX.. (FJ13 ECC) appeared to have recently arrived at Parkside after working the 0715 National Express service 787 from Heathrow Airport (due 1100). A Caetano Levante bodied Volvo B9R that was on loan from National Express pending arrival of new coaches. New in May 2013. It was being following Whippet WG103 (BF63 HFB), a Wright Eclipse 2 bodied Volvo B7RLE working Busway service C from St. Ives to Cambridge Railway Station. On the right is Stagecoach Cambus 10798 (SN66 VZW), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D MMC, working the Babraham Road Park and Ride service.

Friday 3 Nov 2017 (1214) – Whippet Coaches NX99 (FJ60 EGE) seen arriving in Mildenhall when working National Express service 490 to London (Victoria) (ex Norwich 1050 origin point unknown timed at Mildenhall at 1205). It is a Caetano Levante bodied Volvo B9R new in September 2010 to Johnson Bros of Hodthorpe, near Worksop. It was operating in all white without National Express graphics. Initially loaned I beleive it was subsequently purchased.

Service 727 had its origins as a ‘Jetlink’ branded service which later saw operation under the ‘National Express Airport’ brand. It was worked by National Express Operations Limited for a number of years (covered from garages near Heathrow and Stansted Airports as well as from an outstation at Norwich). In January 2018 Whippet took over as the contractor for this service (and for some of the London services from Norfolk and Suffolk) working from an outstation near Diss/Eye in Suffolk. Friday 10 March 2017 (1117) – Whippet Coaches NX13 (BK15 AKG) travelling along a briefly quiet Emmanuel Street, Cambridge when working the 1115 National Express service 010 to London (Victoria). A Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in July 2015.
