Friday 23 March 2012 (1027) - Mulleys Motorways CN54 HFC seen on Home Farm Lane on the Nowton Estate, Bury St Edmunds when operating service M22. This is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos acquired to operate the company’s expanded Bury St Edmunds town service network commencing Monday 19 March 2012. New to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004. Of the five Optare Solo buses operated by Mulleys this is the longest, the only 9.9 metre long type (a model 990 therefore), the other four are 9.2 metres long.

This is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos acquired to operate the company’s expanded Bury St Edmunds town service network commencing Monday 19 March 2012. New to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004.

Saturday 24 August 2014 (1611) - Mulleys Motorways CN54 HFC seen in Linnet Road on the Priors housing estate in Bury St Edmunds served by service M88. This is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos acquired to operate the company’s expanded Bury St Edmunds town service network commencing Monday 19 March 2012. New to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004.

Saturday 6 September 2014 (0736) - The Mulleys Motorways Bury St Edmunds town circular service M88 serves the Horringer Court and Priors housing estates and returns to the town centre via Queens Road. Optare Solo CN54 HFC was working the first trip of the day which departs from the the town centre at 0715. Queens Road is a long thoroughfare lined with imposing terraced houses some of which date from the late 1800s. Both sides of the roadway are always lined with parked cars and travels up and down in the centre of the road. This is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos which were acquired when Mulleys expanded Bury St Edmunds town service network in March 2012. This one, new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, in September 2004, is the longest of the five Solos in the Mulleys fleet and is a 9.9 metre long model (type 990 therefore), the other four are 9.2 metres long.

Saturday 17 September 2016 (1457) - Mulleys Motorways Optare Solo CN54 HFC seen negotiating Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills in Suffolk when running ‘out of service’. It had just completed a duty working services 357/358 which ended with the 1430 service 358 from Mildenhall to West Row and back. On schooldays it would also work a school related run and a tea time trip out of Bury St. Edmunds (both as 357 journeys). New to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004.

Friday 18 August 2017 (1210) – Mulleys Motorways Optare Solo CN54 HFC seen in the Guineas bus station in Newmarket prior to working the 1214 service 312 to Bury St. Edmunds via Dalham and Barrow. It was new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, in September 2004.

Friday 20 October 2017 (1555) – Mulleys Motorways CN54 HFC seen in King Street, Mildenhall when working the afternoon school related service 357 to Cavenham and Newmarket. It is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos acquired in 2012 that had been new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004. Up ahead is Jans of Soham SV54 ELO, a Neoplan N122.

Tuesday 24 October 2017 (1126) – Mulleys Motorways Optare Solo CN54 HFC seen approaching the War Memorial in Worlington when working the 1035 service 357 from Bury St. Edmunds to Mildenhall. It is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos acquired in 2012 that had been new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004.

Thursday 26 October 2017 – Mulleys Motorways supports the annual Poppy Appeal with collecting boxes on their buses which also wear a large poppy. Optare Solo CN54 HFC was seen passing the War Memorial in Worlington when working the 1035 service 357 from Bury St. Edmunds to Mildenhall. It is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos acquired in 2012 that had been new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004.

Friday 3 Nov 2017 (1234) – Mulleys Motorways CN54 HFC seen held up at some temporary traffic lights in High Street, Mildenhall when working the 1230 service 357 to Bury St. Edmunds via Freckenham, Red Lodge, Tuddenham, Cavenham and Risby. It is one of three former Veolia Transport Cymru Optare Solos acquired in 2012 that had been new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004.

Wednesday 8 August 2018 (1316) – For some time the section of St. Andrew’s Street North close to the main shops in Bury St. Edmunds has been closed resulting in buses being diverted along Parkway and Risbygate Street. Mulleys Motorways CN54 HFC, an Optare Solo new to Bebb Travel of Llantwit Fadre, South Wales in September 2004, crosses Parkway on Risbygate Street as it arrived back on town service 357 from Mildenhall via Tuddenham, Cavenham and Risby. On the far left of the photograph, in the centre of the roundabout, is a statue of St. Edmund at his martyrdom made from steel wire with steel arrows penetrating his heart and body.
