Monday 22 May 1995 – Burton Coaches (Haverhill) Limited TJH 881Y, a Plaxton Paramount bodied Bedford YNT that had been new to Reliance of Newbury (173) in April 1983, seen on Angel Hill, Bury St. Edmunds. This coach was later acquired by Fareline (Geoff Morss) of Wingfield. The Burton business changed ownership a few years later and developed as a bus operator serving a wide area of West Suffolk with services also reaching into Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. The coaching operations included National Express service contracts, UK and Continental tours.

Saturday 1 November 2008 (1203)- Fareline Bus and Coach of Wingfield near Eye, Suffolk is owned by Jeff Morss and operates only one or two vehicles. TJH 881Y was new in April 1983 to Reliance of Newbury, Berkshire (Fleet number 173). It is a Bedford YNT with Plaxton Paramount bodywork - nearly 26 years old! Fareline operates the Saturday trips on Suffolk County Council supported services 320/321. The Wednesday trips are covered by Galloway. Service 320 offers one inward trip from Eye at 0855 via Finningham (0912) and Bacton (0922), also serving a number of other villages, arriving in Bury St Edmunds at 1008. The return trip leaves Bury at 1230 but runs to Finningham only (arriving at 1326) via Bacton (1316) where it connects with Galloway service 456 for Eye. The vehicle runs back to Bury empty to work the 1356 service numbered 321 running via a different route to Finningham which then continues through to Eye. An enthusiastic attention to detail seems to be a watchword of Fareline as the coach has ‘London Transport’ style roundels with a fleetname on the sides and either side of the destination blinds which always show the full service number and destination in modern day yellow characters (more than some companies do on vehicles much younger than 26 years!). The Suffolk County Council ‘Travelink’ board is always correctly displayed – whilst a condition of the operating contract other operators are not as fastidious on this point!

Sunday 14 August 2022 – ‘The Big Bus Show’ Rally held at Stonham Barns. Fareline Bus & Coach (Jeff Morss) of Wingfield near Eye NK54 NUH, a Wright bodied Volvo B7RLE new to Go-Ahead owned Go Wear (4978) in January 2005. The roofline graphics depict features from the north east of England notably the Tyne Bridge, Gateshead Millenium Bridge and the Angel of the North. Jeff has always added extra little features to his vehicles over the years. These include the Fareline logos either side of the destination display and one on each side windows mid-ships plus a triangular sign in the rear window. The small ‘WF’ is perhaps the London style garage code for Wingfield – although Jeff usually owns just one vehicle at a time which is parked at his rural home. With room for expansion his operator licence is for two vehicles. In the front windscreen he always displays the correct route number for the appropriate Suffolk County Council contracted service being operated. Currently the Bus Times website shows the Fareline portfolio to be four services: 319 Syleham-Eye High School (School pupils only schooldays only) 320 Eye-Bury St. Edmunds (Wednesdays only) 475 Eye-Diss (One way on Fridays schooldays only – no return trip) Service 170 is displayed in this photograph, a Mondays only service during the school summer holiday period to Felixstowe. The main points on the service are Stuston-Diss-Eye-Framlingham-Wickham Market-Woodbridge-Felixstowe also picking up at quite a number of other villages en route.

Jeff usually owns just one vehicle at a time and his current bus is NK54 NUH, a Wright bodied Volvo B7RLE new to Go-Ahead owned Go Wear (4978) in January 2005.
