Sunday 21 June 1998 – Dereham Coachways FAZ 3942 seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Red Lodge heading home. It is a Van Alizee bodied Volvo B10M new in April 1988 to Travellers Coach Company registered E264 OMT.

Saturday 28 May 1994 – Dereham Coachways E505 KNV seen at RAF Mildenhall attending the Air Fete. It is a Jonckheere Deauville bodied Volvo B10M that had been new to Tellings-Golden Miller in May 1988.

Sunday 24 May 1992 – Dereham Coachways B682 DVL seen at RAF Mildenhall attending the Air Fete. It is a Neoplan Jetliner N216H that had been new to Hogg of Boston in December 1985.

Saturday 25 November 2017 (1101) – Coaches of two relatively local companies seen setting down in Bury St. Edmunds for the 2017 Christmas Fayre. Both have Van Hool bodywork. Dereham Coachways of East Dereham, Norfolk YJ55 EZE is a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B12B new in October 2005. Behind is Galloway Coach Travel of Mendlesham, Suffolk 324 (YJ14 CEX), a Van Hool TX16 Astron new in March 2014.

Sunday 8 May 2022 (1012) – The Dereham Coachways premises on Rash’s Green Industrial Estate, East Dereham. Parked within are two Van Hool T9 Alizée bodied Volvo B10Ms. Left is XFK 305, new in February 1998 to Cleaver (Highland Heritage Coach Tours) of Dalmally (PA33 1AS), Scotland. It carries a ‘Canary Express’ window label in readiness for a run to Norwich City Football Club’s game with West Ham at Carrow Road. The company offers ‘season ticket’ travel deals to all home games of the Canaries. Today though the supporters would return home somewhat disheartened because West Ham beat them four goals to nil. Right BIG 2216, new in March 2000 to Armchair Passenger Transport registered W17 APT. (Konectbus (Go-Ahead Group) occupies the neighbouring site, the building beyond XFK 305 is their workshop).

Sunday 8 May 2022 (1011) – Dereham Coachways XFK 305, a Van Hool T9 Alizée bodied Volvo B10M new in February 1998 to Cleaver (Highland Heritage Coach Tours) of Dalmally (PA33 1AS), Scotland registered R790 WSB. It carries a ‘Canary Express’ window label in readiness for a run to Norwich City Football Club’s game with West Ham at Carrow Road. It was seen in Market Place, East Dereham about to commence work the ‘Canary Express’ to the Norwich City Football Club’s game with West Ham at Carrow Road. The company offers ‘season ticket’ travel deals to all home games of the Canaries. Today the supporters would return home somewhat disheartened because West Ham beat them four goals to nil.

Sunday 8 May 2022 (1011) – Seen at the premises of Dereham Coachways in East Dereham. Left: V64 FSX, a Van Hool T9 Alizée bodied Volvo B10M new in February 2000 to Brown’s of Edinburgh. Right: Y176 KCS, a Jonckheere Mistral bodied Volvo B10M new to Park’s of Hamilton in April 2001 registered LSK 444. (Other registrations which may have been carried by this vehicle are XAT 11X and JCM 396). The shadow in the lower left corner was cast by K14 DCL, a Van Hool T9 Alizée bodied Volvo B12BT, which I read was no longer operated by Dereham Coachways. An hour later the coach arrived at the Mid Norfolk Railway bus rally. (Konectbus (Go-Ahead Group) occupies the neighbouring site and one of their vehicles can be seen on the right).

Sunday 8 May 2022 (1114) – I read that K14 DCL is no longer operated by Dereham Coachways evidenced by the removal of some lettering on the upper windscreen (Dereham and Ways) leaving just the word Coach. The vehicle was actually parked at the Dereham Coachways premises an hour before this photo. It is a Van Hool T9 Alizée bodied Volvo B12BT new in March 2006 to Redden of Coldingham, North Berwickshire, registered SN06 APO. Tuesday 19 Sep 2017 (1044) – Dereham Coachways of East Dereham, Norfolk K14 DCL seen on Angel Hill, Bury St. Edmunds. It is a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B12B that was new to James French and Son of Coldingham, near Eyemouth, Northumberland in March 2006 registered SN06 APO. (It has also carried registration numbers 60 VV and 51 WT).

Saturday 13 July 1991 - Eniway Coaches (F J and M J Bridges) E838 NHP seen just after leaving Fiveways, Barton Mills as it headed westbound on the A11. It is a Jonckheere Jubilee P599 bodied Volvo B10M that had been new to Harry Shaw Coaches of Coventry in whose colours it remained when seen here. A few years later this coach passed to Dereham Coachways. Eniway had operating bases at East Dereham and Saham Toney (near Watton) on its licence.

Sunday 25 November 2018 (1239) – Tendring Travel of Thorpe-le-Soken W973 UAR seen at the Coach and Lorry Park at Rougham Hill, Bury St. Edmunds having brought visitors to the annual Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Fayre. It is a Setra S315 GT-HD which I believe had been new to Dereham Coachways as W2 SET in April 2000 and later carried registration LSU 788.
