Saturday 20 October 2018 (1220) – Seaward Travel Limited YX66 WNF, a Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B8R new in September 2016, passing through Swaffham, Norfolk. The minimalistic lettering on the rear panel just showed Seaward, London; a 0844 phone number; and a website address. The website itself shows no geographical location just referring to ‘London’. The full legal name and address on the coach was located in Weymouth, Dorset.

Minimalistic lettering on the rear panel. The website itself shows no geographical location just referring to ‘London’ The full legal name and address on the coach was located in Weymouth, Dorset. Some work was being carried out around the 18th century market cross and it was surrounded by fencing on which are attached contact details for a supplier of goat meat. In addition to market stalls beyond that there were others along the right of the market square including a lady auctioning all manner of ‘twenty third hand’ ironmongery and pottery items whereas the stall most visible was purveying the brand new equivalent including a long pole device to clean the upstairs windows.

Saturday 20 October 2018 (1254) – First Eastern Counties Buses 33808 (YX63 LJO), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 new in September 2013, seen in Swaffham Market Place. It was working the 1140 XL (Excel) service from Norwich to Peterborough where it was due at 1457.

It was working the 1040 XL (Excel) service from Peterborough to Norwich where it was due at 1353. In the background can be seen 33808 (YX63 LJO) working the 1140 XL (Excel) service from Norwich to Peterborough where it was due at 1457.

It was working the 1040 XL (Excel) service from Peterborough to Norwich where it was due at 1353. The bus was running about ten minutes late.

Saturday 20 October 2018 (1400) – The Norfolk village of Castle Acre is the home of Eagles Coaches, a business that began in 1882 with horse drawn carriages. Their yard overlooks the significantly older but ruined 11th century Priory. Eagles Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo R345 GHS can be seen centre left. Saturday 20 October 2018 (1328) – Eagles Coaches R345 GHS, a Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo B10M, seen parked at the yard in Castle Acre. It was new to First Glasgow as their fleet number CV15 in December 1997 and became fleet number 60129 when First created their corporate fleet numbering scheme. After sale by First it was operated by P & O Lloyd of Bagillt, North Wales registered POI 6312.

Saturday 20 October 2018 (1328) – Eagles Coaches yard in Castle Acre, Norfolk. Martin James Eagle began a horse and carriage service from Castle Acre to Kings Lynn in 1882 and the present day business is run by his Great Grandson. In this view are four coaches with Van Hool Alizee* bodywork and one Plaxton Premiere. I believe all are on Volvo chassis. Left to right: *E7 GLE; *YXI 6421; *P521 PRL (VLT 177); P2 CAP (the Plaxton bodied coach) and an unknown* coach.
