Sunday 25 September 2016 – Former Barton Transport vehicles on display at Chilwell as part of the Barton Fleet Review event celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Barton Transport, Thomas Henry Barton, OBE. Following the Review a number of vehicles made the trip to Donington Park to participate at the Showbus Rally. The double deckers include three of Barton's trademark Duple front entrance lowbridge bodied Leyland Titans. 509 (JRR 930), a PD1A new in June 1948; 507 (JVO 230), a PD1 new in 1948 and 580 (KNN 254) a PD1A new in 1949. The AEC supporting the bicycle is 854, a Northern Counties bodied AEC Regent V new in October 1960 with registration number 854 FNN but now registered AAL 522A. Just visible on the extreme right is the chassis of a Barton BTS rebuild.

Now registered AAL 522A. Propped up beside it is a bicycle in Barton livery. 507 (JVO 230) and 580 (KNN 254) are bothe Duple bodies Leyland Titans. 507 a PD1 new in 1948 and 580 a PD1A new in 1949. In addition to the Barton flag motif the coach carries the names of two significant companies acquired by Barton which were Robin Hood Coaches and Hall Brothers of South Shields. This was the Barton Fleet Review event celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Barton Transport, Thomas Henry Barton, OBE.
