Friday 27 July 2018 (1130) – Yellow Buses 26 (T26 TYB), an Optare Versa that was new in September 2008, seen in Gervis Place close to The Square in Bournemouth.. Yellow Buses (Bournemouth Transport Limited) is owned by the RATP Group although had previously been a Transdev company and the registration number carries the initials for Transdev Yellow Buses. On the right is 120 (HF11 HCO), a Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL new in June 2011.

Wednesday 1 August 2018 (1038) – Yellow Buses (RATP Group) 27 (T27 TYB), an Optare Versa new in September 2008, seen on Castle Lane West by the Castlepoint Shopping Centre in Bournemouth when working service 2 to the city centre. The ‘TYB’ letters in the registration number stand for ‘Transdev Yellow Buses’. In 2009 a share exchange between Transdev and RATP resulted in Yellow Buses passing to RATP.

Wednesday 1 August 2018 (1039) – The rear interior panel of Yellow Buses (RATP Group) 27 (T27 TYB), an Optare Versa new in September 2008. Note the ‘T’ logos on the leather seating (and the ‘TYB’ letters in the registration number). In 2008 when the bus was new the Yellow Buses business was owned by Transdev. In 2009 a share exchange between Transdev and RATP resulted in Yellow Buses passing to RATP.

The company employs colour branding for its services. 111 wears neutral silver for use on any service as required.

Wednesday 1 August 2018 (1027) – Yellow Buses (Bournemouth Transport Limited) is owned by the RATP Group, and had its origins as Bournemouth Corporation Transport. Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL 125 (BX12 CVO) seen on Castle Lane West operating service 3a to Poole. It was new in May 2012 to Centrewest (London) as their VN36291. The company employs colour branding for its services but 125 wears a neutral silver for use on any service as required. The Homebase building in the background was once the Mallard Road garage of Bournemouth Corporation Transport. Constructed around 1950-1951 it is now a Grade II listed building and has a floor space of about 300 feet x 150 feet devoid of any interior support pillars. This large windows were once the garage doors set across the front of the building.

Friday 27 July 2018 (1133) – Just in case there was any doubt, the bus shelters on the right in Gervis Place, Bournemouth are ‘Stand O’. (They remind me of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' video - Magnifico-o-o-o-o-o-o!). Yellow Buses (Bournemouth Transport Limited) 184 (HF04 JWE), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new in April 2004, is bound for Christchurch on service 1. On the left is 194 (BF15 KFD), a later model Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5TL new in March 2015, bound for Poole on service 3.

These two buses seen in Exeter Road, Bournemouth. 188 (BL14 LTE), a Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL new in June 2014, carries pink branding for services 3/3a. Standing behind is 7 (R7 TYB), an Optare Tempo May 2009, which carries green branding for services 5/5a.

It is a Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL new in June 2014. The company employs colour branding for its services although 191 carries the neutral silver for use on any service as required.

Friday 27 July 2018 (1118) – At the time of my visit the newest buses in the Yellow Buses (Bournemouth Transport Limited) fleet appeared to be six Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC double deckers numbered 200-205 new in April/May 2017. 202 (SN17 MTV) was seen in Gervis Place by The Square in Bournemouth. 200-203 carry the pink branding for service 3 whereas 204-205 carry the neutral silver for use on any service as required. Yellow Buses was placed in administration on 29 July 2022 and the last services operated on Thursday 4 August 2022.
