Wednesday 18 October 2023 (1000) – Stagecoach East buses in Emmanuel Street, Cambridge


Left: 21366 (BU69 XXD), an MCV eVoRa bodied Volvo B8RLE new in February 2020, working the 0845 Busway service A from St. Ives (Edison Road) to Trumpington Park & Ride.

According to the tracker on the Bus Times website it had been running about 15 minutes late all the way down the line from St. Ives Park & Ride. It would appear that it lost quite a bit of time when operating from St. Ives Park & Ride to Edison Road on its previous journey and likewise from Edison Road to St. Ives Park & Ride on this journey.


Right: 10809 (SN66 WBF) working service 3 to Cherry Hinton. It is an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D MMC that when new in January 2017 carried the orange livery for the Newmarket Road service.

Before arriving with Stagecoach East (Cambus) a number of these new buses, 10809 included, were temporarily assigned to Stagecoach Merseyside (Glenvale) to provide increased capacity during railway engineering works on the Merseyrail Wirral line.
