Ambassador Travel LT899 (EAH 889Y) on the A11 between Red Lodge and Barton Mills - 27 Jan 1985 (7-34)
Sunday 27 January 1985 – Ambassador Travel LT889 (EAH 889Y) seen heading down Chalk Hill towards Barton Mills when working the 0930 London (Victoria) to Great Yarmouth National Express ‘Norfolk Flyer’ service 099.

Ambassador LT889 is one of the eight Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodied Leyland Tigers new to the Eastern Counties Omnibus Company in February 1983 that wore the ‘Norfolk Flyer’ livery to operate services between Norfolk and London. They passed to Ambassador Travel when ECOC was split up in September 1984.

It was from close to this point where the dual carriageway through to Fiveways roundabout was constructed a few years later. The new road diverged from this point to the right across the adjacent fields.
