Northampton Transport 61 (VVV 61S) in Northampton – 22 Oct 1989 (105-13)

Thursday 22 October 1989 – Northampton Transport 61 (VVV 61S), an Alexander bodied Bristol VR new in October 1977, emerging from Greyfriars Bus Station in Northampton.

The ‘Welcome to Northampton’ plaque is a nice touch but I never found Greyfriars itself at all welcoming. It was dark and rather depressing comprising two long dark tunnels topped by a multi-storey car park and office block.
