On board a Jonckheere Jubilee P50 a new coach for Allenways at Northampton – 11 Feb 1984 (840-19)

Saturday 11 February 1984 – Roeselare Coach Sales Open Day, Northampton. Roeselare was the British distributor for the Belgian coachbuilder Jonckheere and took its name from the Belgian town of Roeselare where Jonckheere was based.

On board a Jonckheere Jubilee P50 bodied Volvo B10M one of a pair for Allenways of Birmingham which carried registration numbers A370 UNH and A380 UNH. I believe this coach may have been the latter as it carried exterior lettering for Hoverland, a West Midlands based holiday company. The two coaches were to be the vehicles added to the fleet before the business was sold to the owner of Claribel Coaches who continued to use the Allenways name until 1992.
