Ipswich Buses Optare Metroriders – 25 Apr 1994 (220-25)

Monday 25 April 1994 – Ipswich Buses operated quite a number of Optare MetroRider small buses, the design of which emanated from MCW. Four examples are seen here in Tower Ramparts bus station.

At the front of the line is what became 217 (L832 MWT), a former demonstrator new in September 1993 (equipped with a wide entrance door) still in all white from its demonstrator use.

Behind that wearing full Ipswich Buses fleet livery all bought new and equipped with the narrower style entrance door are 228 (J228 JDX) (August 1991); 221 (G221 VDX (November 1989) and 227 (H227 EDX) (October 1990).
