Royal Blue and Greyhound agency sign (P1000646)

Sunday 24 March 2019 – The wall inside the small museum at Lodge’s Coaches in the village of High Easter, Essex displays a fine collection of bus stops and agency signs.

This enamel example shows a map of the services between the West Country and London operated by Royal Blue (jointly owned by Western National and Southern National) and Greyhound (owned by Bristol Tramways later known as Bristol Omnibus). Connections to the services of the Associated Motorways consortium, of which Royal Blue and Bristol were members, are also shown.
