East Yorkshire 793 (BP15 OLH) at Hull Marina - 3 May 2019 (P1010490)

Friday 3 May 2019 (1203) – East Yorkshire 793 (BP15 OLH), an MCV EvoSeti bodied Volvo B5TL new in July 2015, seen turning at Hull Marina when working the 1150 service 78 from Hull Interchange to Hedon. The Marina is only served by a handful of trips over the day.

On the left is the Spurn Lightship which is now a Museum permanently moored in the Marina. Dating from 1927 the vessel served for almost 50 years as a navigational aid to shipping at the mouth of the Humber estuary near Spurn Point.

In June 2018 after thirty one years of independent ownership East Yorkshire became a subsidiary of the Go-Ahead Group. Changes were starting to happen at the time of my visit. The livery style on this bus is of the old order.
