Tantivy Blue 60 (J 12050) in St. Helier - 6 Aug 2019 (P1030938)

Tuesday 6 August 2019 – Tantivy Blue Coach Tours is Jersey’s largest coach operator. Coach 60 (J 12050) is a Leicester Carriage Builders ‘Islander’ bodied Cannon Hi-Line that had been new to Pioneer Coaches as their number 3 registered J 491 in May 1999. Tantivy Blue acquired the Pioneer business in November 2000.

It would appear that this is a coach I travelled on when I visited Jersey in September 1999. At the time it was operated by Pioneer Coaches as J 491, such a low number that I think it would have been a cherished plate. It was re-registered J 12050 in June 2000.

Standing behind is Signature Coaches 10 (J 66449) a similar style coach that had been new to the London Borough of Redbridge in May 2000 registered W991 VGW.

They were parked on a closed section of the Esplanade during the ‘Battle of the Flowers’ carnival event.
