Buses and coaches at St. Helier Ferry Terminal - 7 Aug 2019 (P1030804)

Buses and coaches at St. Helier Ferry Terminal - 7 Aug 2019 (P1030804)
Wednesday 7 August 2019 – Vehicles parked at the Elizabeth Harbour Ferry Terminal in St. Helier, Jersey awaiting the arrival of the morning ferries.

The most obvious vehicle is Jersey Bus and Boat Tours former London Transport Park Royal bodied Leyland 7RT RTL326 (J 8903 formerly KGU 284).

Otherwise all the other vehicles are operated Tantivy Blue Coach Tours and are, from left to right:

201 (J 93500), a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart, one of a handful of buses in its mainly coach oriented fleet. It had formerly been number 9 in the JMT fleet although had originally been new to Isle of Man National Transport as their 72 (CMN 72X) in July 1994.

61 (J 14616), a Leicester Carriage Builders ‘Islander’ bodied Cannon Hi-Line that had been new to Pioneer Coaches as their number 4 in September 1998.

1 (J 82047), a Portuguese built Camo Minerva bodied Renault PP180 that had been new to Blue Coach Tours in August 1996.

5 (J 73973), a Wadham Stringer bodied Leyland Swift that had been new to Pioneer Coaches as their number 12 in August 1991.

16 (J 24573), a Wadham Stringer bodied Leyland Swift that had been new to Blue Coach Tours in April 1989.

2 (J 82049), a Portuguese built Camo Minerva bodied Renault PP180 that had been new to Blue Coach Tours in August 1996.

Note the Public Vehicle Plates (P.S.V) carried on the rear of vehicles. These are issued by the authorities and have no direct relationship to vehicle registration plates or operator fleet number. However, in some cases there can be a loose form of number matching.
