Norwich Airport - 15 Jun 2019 (P1020529)

Norwich Airport - 15 Jun 2019 (P1020529)
Saturday 15 June 2019 (1152) – An unregistered bus used airside at Norwich International Airport (fleet number B5). This model was introduced by UVG (Universal Vehicles Group) of Waterlooville, Hampshire in 1995 as the Urbanstar. In 1998 UVG went into administration and the Portuguese bus and coach builder Caetano set up SC Coachbuilders Limited to take over the design and production of the model.

The nose of Loganair G-SAJT named ‘Clan Inglis’ is in the shot. (According to sources on the Internet it is an Embraer ERJ-135ER).

The airport is to the north of the city on a site originally established as a World War II air station named RAF Horsham St. Faith. One of the principal airlines serving Norwich for many years has been KLM with daily flights from here to Schipol, Amsterdam which connect to the KLM global network. Other airlines like Loganair fly to Scotland, Jersey etc. There are also helicopter flights to energy platforms in the North Sea.
