DSCF3048 Preserved XOI 2526 in Holt - 30 Jun 2018

Saturday 30 June 2018 (1534) – Seen in White Lion Street, Holt on a special service forming part of the Vintage Bus Rally staged at the preserved North Norfolk Railway. XOI 2526 is an Alexander (Belfast) X type bodied Bristol RELL that entered service with Citybus, Belfast in April 1984 having been stored since 1982. It is preserved in the authentic livery of the Ipswich Buses ‘Suffolkbus’ subsidiary although had never been operated in England. It carries fictitious fleet number 154 in the true Ipswich style which follows on from the unique Leyland/Bristol B21 buses operated at Ipswich which had been bodied in Belfast and numbered 144-153.
