DSCF1414 Diamond Coaches YN04 FKJ at the Wellingborough Museum Bus Rally - 21 Apr 2018

Saturday 21 April 2018 (1249) – Wellingborough Museum Bus Rally: Diamond Coaches of Rushden YN04 FKJ, an East Lancs Myllenium bodied MAN, that had been new to Islwyn Borough Transport (21) in April 2004. In January 2010 Islwyn BT sold their operation to Stagecoach South Wales and this bus became Stagecoach fleet number 39609.

Parked behind is Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian R738 XRV, one of the open top buses that proved popular with families visiting the rally. It was new in April 1998 and wears the ‘Island Breezer’ livery of Southern Vectis, the Isle of Wight operator. (I think this was also owned by Diamond Coaches).

Seen from on board former Northampton Corporation Transport 154 (ANH 154), a North Coachbuilders bodied Daimler CVG6 new in June 1947.
