On 13 September 2004 National Express upgraded its 420 Birmingham-London service branding it as ‘NXL Shuttle’. Fourteen striking Irizar Century PB bodied Scania K114EB4 fitted with 49 black leather seats and other refinements like plug ins for computers etc were added to the fleet specifically for the service.
