A Scania CN230UB OmniCity that was new to Metrobus in March 2009 as YT09 BKN (#575). The frontage of Lime Street Station dominates the background. The ornate Crown Hotel pub, stands on Skelhorne Street (on the corner with Lime Street). Skelhorne Street was once the location of the erstwhile Ribble Bus Station - the site of which is now home to newly built high rise buildings. Another one which will face onto Lime Street is under construction beyond the Crown Hotel. The famous Adelphi Hotel, built between 1911-1914, is just visible to the left of the yellow crane undertaking that building work.
