Saturday 25 June 2016 – Ipswich Corporation began operating trams in 1903 and from 1923 also operated trolleybuses. Once the last trams ceased (in 1926) the trolleybus reigned supreme until February 1950 when the first motor bus was acquired. This was a Park Royal bodied AEC Regent III appropriately given the fleet number 1 with registration number ADX 1.
