Cambridge Coach Services P313 CVE at the Palace of Holyrood House, Edinburgh - 2 Aug 1997

Saturday 2 August 1997 (approx 0900) - Cambridge Coach Services Limited 313 (P313 PVE), seen by the gates of The Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland - the official Royal residence of Scotland.

The coach was on one of the company’s ‘Classic Day Tours’. CCS regularly ran tours of this type which involved night travel overnight Friday night to the destination and travelling back home overnight Saturday night thus giving something like 10 hours at the destination. Arriving in Edinburgh at 0720 we had a short break before being joined by a local guide for a 90 minute tour of the city. Note the missing letter ‘S’ in the fleetname following a repair to the front nearside corner of the coach.
