Yelloway Coaches BO55 YEL at Llanfair PG - 27 Jun 2015 (DSCF0109)

Yelloway Coaches BO55 YEL at Llanfair PG - 27 Jun 2015 (DSCF0109)
Saturday 27 June 2015 (1159) - The original Yelloway disappeared from the scene in 1988 but re-emerged under the ownership of Courtesy Coaches of Chadderton in 2008. 2015 saw the centenary of the formation of Yelloway Motor Services Limited (originally Holt Brothers (Rochdale) Limited which used the Yelloway name). After Holts got into financial difficulties in 1931 the business was reformed as Yelloway Motor Services Limited.

BO55 YEL, seen at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwryndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch on the Isle of Anglesey, carries this commemorative logo in a garter scroll in similar fashion to those carried on the boot doors of Yelloway coaches for many years.

BO55 YEL is a Jonckheere Mistral bodied Volvo B12B that had been new to Greys of Ely as G2 ELY in September 2006. (Other registrations possibly related to this vehicle are GK56 ACY and A15 YEL plus W26 ABC after sale).
