Cambridgeshire Guided Busway - 17 Jul 2011

The southern section of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway runs from the Trumpington Park and Ride site towards Cambridge city centre. The Busway was built on a former railway trackbed and passes under a low arched bridge. Consequently it may only be used by single decker buses. A string of bells and chains hangs across the carriageway to give a driver an alarm should a double decker attempt to enter. Beyond the bridge until Foster Road the Busway is single track
