Shaw-Hadwin F855 YJX (Scottish Citylink contractor) Date and photographer unknown

Not one of my photographs but I include it because I have always liked it and I pay homage to it. A Canadian friend of many years sent it to me but I know he didn't take the photograph himself.

The coach is a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Volvo B10M operated by Shaw Hadwin of Carnforth. F885 YJX was photographed in the evening sunshine in a leafy part of Lancaster Road, Preston as it headed for Manchester on Scottish Citylink service 257.

Along with MacPherson Coaches of Donisthorpe I believe these were the only two English companies that worked Scottish Citylink contracts.
