DSCF5831 Centrebus 570 (Y259 FJN) in Empingham - 9 Sep 2014
Tuesday 9 September 2014 (1536) – Rutland County Council supports four bus services marketed as ‘WorkLink’ and operated by Centrebus that run to the sites of large employers in the county from various towns and villages. The RCC website tells that "WorkLink is a day and night bus designed to provide a safe form of transport outside of the main commuter hours to help employees and attract potential employees access shift pattern jobs". Centrebus 570 (Y259 FJN) is seen in Empingham when working the 1518 ‘WorkLink’ service 41 from the Oakham factory of clothing manufacturer and retailer Lands’ End Europe Limited. This trip of service 41 is the only one of five which doesn’t additionally serve the factory of RPC Containers, a manufacturer of packaging materials, both of which have shift changeover times at 0600, 1400 and 2200. An Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart new in June 2001 as Stagecoach East London SLD259.
