Stagecoach (Cambridge) Citi 7 timetable for Monday 7 July 2014 only

On Monday 7 July 2014 the Tour de France cycle race set forth from Cambridge which saw major disruption to bus services and general traffic. Stagecoach operated special timetables on different routes for this one day only. Most of the roads used by the normal Citi 7 service (Cambridge to Sawston, Pampisford and Saffron Walden) were affected and the usual service was replaced by a service linking Sawston and the Babraham Road Park and Ride Site. Despite the timetable showing the Sawston terminus as 'Medical Centre' the buses had to travel a little further down London Road to turn round at the old White Horse pub (now a private house) - as indeed they normally do on one trip per hour on the regular service schedule. (The Cambridgeshire County Council website said this of the Citi7: 'Significant change in the route due to road closures. Service starts at Barbraham (sic) P&R instead of City Centre, it does not go through Trumpington, Great Shelford or Stapleford. Saffron Walden will not be serviced by this route on the day. This service terminates outside the Public House in Pamisford (sic)'. This was incorrect as the buses didn't go beyond Sawston and through to Pampisford. Also CCC managed to mis-spell two of the places in their message!).
