Oystercatchers
The oyster catchers have been returning every April to start a family for sixteen years, generally laying their eggs on the gravel path by the side of the garage. They are looking a bit puzzled to find it is now Caithness slate, so I am curious to see where they choose as an alternative.
Are they the original parents or a succession of offspring returning to where they were born?
Who knows?
