Biserica fortificată din Cristian (Braşov)
Die schöne, restaurierte Kirchenburg in Neiustadt – nicht zu verwechseln mit dem Dorf Cristian in der Nähe von Sibiu (Hermannstadt) – ist einen Stopp wert. In dem Dorf im Burzenland, gegründet Anfang des 12. Jh., leben heute noch 106 Siebenbürger Sachsen. Entsprechend voll ist die seit ihrer Restaurierung außen leuchtend gelbe Kirche beim deutschen Gottesdienst an jedem zweiten Sonntag im Monat.
Erbaut wurde die erste frühgotische Basilika im 13. Jh., von ihr steht nur noch der Glockenturm. Im 19. Jh. entstand die heutige spätklassizistische Hallenkirche.
Die Umfassungsmauer ist noch erhalten.
