Its difficult to resist these flowers, another I don't know the name of, we've had them and grown them from seed for years, because they are brilliant feeder plants, from aphids, caterpillars, bees to butterflies.

This is another that just showed up on the patio, these tend to be open in the worst part of the day to photograph, so a cloudy day and I caught a few...lol I love that latin name, Picris echioldes, so apt 'Picris is right, spikey!...lol

Last year we got this from a friend moving who didn't want the plant to be killed when she sold the house, it didn't do well. Its much better this year :)
