Two and two are four
Four and four are eight
Eight and eight are sixteen
Sixteen and sixteen are thirty-two ...
Thanks to keimagen for this lovely texture.
Have no idea what this guy will become yet, I've posted at HantsMoths for some help with an ID. I think it might be some type of Wainscot moth, but not sure.
Thanks to Denise over at HantsMoths for the help with this one :D
Found this chrysalis poking out of the very wet muddy path, where it was likely to be trampled. It was squirming and moving and appears to be fine, but we'd sure like to know what it is going to be.
Update: Thanks a million to the folks over at Back Garden Moths for the ID on this and especially to The Lepidopterist for all the helpful information as well as the ID.
This is one of the most beautiful moths we have in the UK, for some examples of them click here
Not sure what this will be, it was about 2 inches so a large moth or butterfly.

These are some of the Large White Butterflies that hatched out on my radish plants this year.
Note to self = Plant some nasturtiums next year :)
Here is Mom laying the eggs if anyone is interested :)
There have been lots of Large White butterflies around my garden and veggies the last month, especially this last few weeks.
I've been known to shake my finger at them saying 'Don't you even think of laying eggs in my Kale cabbage!'.. knowing full well that they will.
To my surprise and as predicted, here are the eggs but on my radishes :(
I've got no idea what to do about this just yet, and the eggs will hatch in the next few weeks, about the same time this radish is ready to pick and eat..
