Wildlife Photography Exhibit
Just a bit of self promotion here, Liz Pearson (LizMP) and myself have been working for several months now on a Wildlife Photography Exhibit/Display being held at the Hastings Country Park Visitor Centre, opening Easter weekend. We've poured much blood, sweat, and tears into this large project and would be thrilled for everyone to get a chance to stop in and have a look.
Along with the photography of invertebrates and some flora on display we also have activities for the whole family, including a few games, and art projects for all ages of children.
The Exhibit will be going up tomorrow but officially open on 4th April (Easter Sunday) and run until 7th June. We decided due to the holiday and location that it was best to not worry with a formal viewing, but we do hope that you can get by there sometime and have a look. Hopefully there will be a bit of a write up in the Observer and a bit more promotion of the East Sussex Wildlife group to help get folks excited about their own photography too.
Our goal was to raise awareness of some of the small creatures that you can see in the diverse habitat of the Hastings Country Park, throw in a small bit of fun education about the photography and the subjects, and show off some of the wildlife that is near and dear to our hearts.
We really hope that the 'spring-like' weather will settle in soon, and you can get up to the Centre and have a wander around the area, and maybe see some of the wildlife for yourselves..lol
