Marbled White Roosting on Yellow Bush Lupine aka California Lupine

Oddly, or well maybe not sooo oddly in all the shots I got of these lovely butterflies the two days we saw them, not one female.

They had just emerged a few days prior and its not that uncommon for males to emerge first in some species of insect.
I suppose thats to develope a territory.
