This mystery English soldier from c1920-30 was obviously a talented boxer. Love to know who he was and why he looks so uncomfortable.with having his pic taken...!

might the butterfly tattoo(s) be a clue?
Did the champion boxers of that era appear on cigarette cards? If so that might be a way to 'identify' him.

I was just looking at some pre WW1 cigarette cards on line and came across a set from 1928 Ogden's 'Pugilists in Action', a set of 50 boxers.
Maybe some of your unknown boxers will be in the set.
