Iron Works T.

This small but interesting iron works in Lower Austria has been founded in 1823 as part of an series of factories of an industrial magnate, abandoned since 1987.

The former Weghammer is located in a small village which is part of the so called ‚Lower Austrian Iron Trail‘. It consists of two elongated, parallel arranged factory halls which are connected with a baroque like imposing front. The building that was used as a steel-mill, a gas pipe factory and a foundry has been put under a preservation order. Since its closure in 1987 the industrial building with its last used machines has been vacanted.
