Harrismith Mansion

Harrismith Mansion
The ruins stand tall on a cliff with dramatic and breathtaking views over "Harrismith Beach". The Harrismith Mansion is named after a town in South Africa which was founded by British Governor Sir Harry Smith. It was built in the 1920s from cut coral stone by Roland Henry Taylor, a planter from Wakefield (St John). The Harrismith mansion was used as a seaside house on the coast of St Philip. The last remains of the roof were destroyed by hurrican Harvey in 2017.
