Für die Gerberei, die in einem Innenhof war, ließen wir uns auf einen local guide auf der Straße ein, sonst kommt man da nicht überall hin. Der gab uns auch ein Minzesträußchen zum vor die Nase halten, war aber nicht soooo schlimm.

Another great photo ,and a great series as well.
I don't know the smell you are describing but if it is like the smell of dead whale being butchered at a whaling station ,the smell lingers in clothes and noses for many days.
