1952 Austin A70 Hereford Pick-Up - MXL 642
The A70 Hereford apparently replaced the Hampshire in 1950 and was wider and slightly longer with an extra 3 inches in the wheelbase.

This one must have been the subject of a complete restoration at some point because this lovely old truck was immaculate. Very, very nice indeed!

How beautiful! I remember this model extremely well, as this was the "van" of choice on the copper mine in Northern Rhodesia where I grew up. My dad frequently brought one home, and I can still see the emblem on the hooter, with the knight's head that fascinated me, I can also remember being given a toy steering wheel that was attached to the metal dashboard by a sucker, and that was how I "drove" my dad around the town - he absolutely assured me that every time I hooted at another car, it got out of the way immediately!
