Classics In The Sun ...
When the last Capri was made in the Eighties, 1,886,647 cars had rolled off the various production lines. Most of those (more than a million) were the MkI, because the MkI sold well in North America and Australia, while the MkII and MkIII were only exported outside Europe (to Asia and New Zealand) in limited numbers.
With the Beetle, Mini, Fiat 500 and the Scirocco, to name but 4 'old' cars that have been rejuvenated and revamped in recent years you do wonder if Ford are missing a trick by not having resurrected the Capri brand?
Can't help but think that there would be massive interest in a MkIV Capri, especially here in the UK.
