autofantasia club has replied to Don Sutherland clubIt seems that the Opel Kadett (which was marketed in the UK as the Vauxhall Astra) was Opel's version of the General Motors' "T-Car" and the T-Platform was what underpinned the Chevrolet Chevette which you mentioned. So there is a genuine connection between the two although I don't think they shared any panels whatsoever.
