1975 Toyota Celica GT - KED 139P

1975 Toyota Celica GT - KED 139P
The Toyota Celica was produced from 1970 to 2006, with the Celica name derived from the Latin word coelica meaning "heavenly" or "celestial".

This is a First Generation model kitted out rally style, no doubt to reflec the car's motorsport pedigree.

Cool car and photo! My cousin traded his 1968 Mustang for a new Celica about 1978. I wasn't as impressed with it as his old Mustang, but I did really like the Supra he traded the Celica for.

Thanks Norm. Ironic what you say about your cousin, especially if it was a First Generation model he got given that they were often called the "Japanese Mustang". The hatchback/liftback had loads of design cues that linked to the old muscle cars. However, I'd say the similarity was only really evident on those early cars.
