My first thought was Alaskan Malamute, but that's because it looks smaller than most of the Siberians I've seen. Great photo Paul!

One of my former neighbors had a Siberian Husky. I was out for an evening run and the dog stopped me in the middle of the road and stood on his hind legs and put his front paws on shoulders and looked me straight in the eye with one of the biggest heads I've ever seen on a dog! I scratched his ears a little and he got down and ran the next three miles with me back to my house. I opened the door to my pickup and he jumped in and I gave him a ride home. Three or four nights later I looked out the back door and see him sitting by the truck about 9:00 at night ... I open the door of the truck and he jumps in and I give him another ride home! I didn't see him anymore after that and I figure he picked a ride with the wrong person.

Thanks Kathleen, opinion seems to be split between that and an Alaskan Malamute. I guess I really should pay more attention to what people tell me in these instances or start keeping notes as my memory is so poor! ;)
