View of three striking domes and towers which clearly characterise the picture In the foreground on the right the dome of the Blasius church is one of the largest churches in the city. Saint Blasius is the patron saint of Dubrovnik. The Baroque church was built from 1706 to 1715 on the foundations of a former Romanesque church, destroyed by the earthquake in 1667. The church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Left in picture Dubrovnik City Bell Tower In 1385, the Grand Chamber decided to build a city clock tower. Behind the largest tower belongs to the cathedral of Dubrovnik, is the bishop's church of the Roman Catholic diocese of Dubrovnik. The baroque basilica, built between 1672 and 1713, has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1979.

Bell tower of the Catholic Church St. Sebastian This 15th century church was built on a wall gate for good reason: Saint Sebastian is the holy protector against the plague. It is protected by the Dominican monastery and the town wall, in a pretty corner of the town.

Since we should reach our boat again before dark there are still a few kilometres to cycle and to make a visit in Vrboska. The idyllic small town of Vrboska lies on the north-eastern coast of the island of Hvar. The town is also called "Mala Venecija" (small Venice) because of the numerous bridges connecting the districts of Pjaca and Podva.

Shortly before the sun disappears behind the hill, we reached the port of Stari Grad and our boat. Stari Grad translates Old Town The original settlement (Pharos) was founded in 384 BC by Greek colonists. In 2008 the plain of Stari Grad east of the city, which has been used for agriculture since ancient times, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Gregory of Nin was a medieval bishop of Nin who fiercely opposed the Pope and the official circles of the Church and introduced the Croatian language to worship services. Until then, services were held only in the Latin language. The 8.5 meter high statue is a busy tourist place in the city, as you can see on the big toe of the statue, due to the many touches the toe became smooth and shiny. Touching the toe should bring happiness
