Kanada Tour Ucluelet Hafen

Kanada Tour Ucluelet Hafen
After the excursions to the bears and sea eagles, things are now getting a little cosier and safer again.

Today we reach Ucluelet, a town on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The name of the town is derived from the term for a "safe harbour" in the language of the indigenous population. The anglicised version of the name of this First Nation gave Ucluelet its name.
Originally, the population lived from fishing, but since the 1990s ecotourism has become increasingly important in the region. Special offers include whale watching and hikes in the primeval forests of the temperate rainforest ecosystem in Clayoquot Sound. The 20 km long, continuous stretch of beach between Ucluelet and neighbouring Tofino is part of the Pacific Rim National Park as Long Beach.

Heide, Buelipix, Nora Caracci, Fred Fouarge and 22 other people have particularly liked this photo
