Bordeaux is a municipality in the southwest of France, prefecture of the department of Gironde and capital of the New Aquitaine region.
The city is famous for its Bordeaux wines and Bordeaux vineyards, especially since the 18th century.
In June 2007, part of the city, the Moon Harbour, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
