Romania, București, The Top Cupola of Romanian Athenaeum
The Romanian Athenaeum is a concert hall in the center of Bucharest. Nowadays it is the main concert hall of the city.
The building was built according to the design of the French architect Albert Galleron at the expense of the noble Wallachian boyar family - Vacarescu and was inaugurated in 1888. Part of the funds for construction was received by open subscription over a period of 28 years. In Romania they still remember the call: “Donate one leu to the Athenaeum!”
