Parque das Nações colloquially known as Expo is located in eastern Lisbon and it is the city's most northeastern parish.

The district was laid out in 1998 as the site of the 1998 Lisbon World Exposition.
Following Expo '98, the area was transformed into a modern commercial, residential and cultural/artistic district inside Lisbon.

At the time of the census carried out in 2011 (last census), an estimated 21,000 people currently live in the Parque das Nações
Nowadays has much more (A new census is taking place this year)

I gladly attend this neighborhood when I'm in Lisbon. Unlike other Expo, which once the exhibition period is over are in a state of deplorable abandonment, it has been able to integrate with the city as you describe well in your note.

The team members who led this project were visionaries.
They transformed a highly degraded area into the current one

The modern city shown at its best Judite. I know that Lisbon also has an old part. I had hoped to visit here some years back but never quite made it. We got to Faro in the south though. Well done for these.
